Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Michael Strawhorn, a proud South Carolina native from Columbia and a Clemson University graduate. With a solid foundation in Services Marketing, I have garnered extensive experience across various service sectors, including restaurants, resorts, and operations management. My journey into the insurance industry began in 2016, inspired by my brother’s success as a State Farm agent. Before establishing my own agency, I dedicated seven years working alongside another agent in the Upstate, where I witnessed the positive impact State Farm has on our neighbors and the community.

On a personal note, I’m grateful to share my life with my wonderful wife, Valerie. We crossed paths at a dog park in Greenville in 2010, and our journey together has been filled with joy, including the arrival of our beautiful son, Patrick, and our three beloved dogs—one of which is the reason we met! Valerie also works in insurance, focusing on behavioral health. As a family, we cherish outdoor adventures like hiking, camping, and exploring the mountains of South Carolina. And yes, we proudly cheer for Clemson!
